Justice League vs Infinity War, Which will be better ?
The later half of 2017 and 2018 is really going to be filled with Marvel Universe superheroes and DC heroes. Numerous movies are expected to be released in this two year period. The most anticipated superhero movies of the decade like Justice League, expected to be released in November 2017 and Avengers : Infinity War Part 1 & 2 in 2018, the question still remains 'Which will be better ?'
Justice League, an upcoming American superhero movie is expected to be the fifth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The first film released in this universe was Man of Steel (2013), it was followed by Batman vs Superman : Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad (2016). Wonder Woman is scheduled to be released in June 2017 which will be followed by Justice League in November. The cast is almost confirmed and the line up includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash , Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor playing key roles in the plot of the movie.
Justice League is about Bruce Wayne (Batman) who teams up with Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against face a new threat to Earth. The league of heroes consisting of Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash forms 'The Justice League'. Fans are too excited to see their childhood comic characters to the screen, many have dived into and also has caught up with every single detail in DC Universe. Their movies are said to be not having the same standards like a Marvel movie, we can hope that this movie can turn their fortunes. Some say that DC characters are overpowered and cannot be contained in movies whereas Marvel have the ideal characters for the big screen. Many haven't realized that even though DC characters are overpowered, their arch enemies are as powerful.
I recently came across a meme in which fans say that Superman can defeat Batman because he is brilliant and wealthy but he is a human ; but in the case of Superman's arch nemesis Lex Luthor, he is just a brilliant and wealthy human-being. We can all wait for the Justice League movie in 2017.
The Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be taken to a cosmic stage in the upcoming movies Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Infinity War Part 2. These movies are going to be the biggest events in Marvel History (MCU). Infinity War comics have definitely disappointed the fans because of the deaths of the major heroes like Iron- Man, Spiderman etc. The probable superheroes in this movie are Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Black-Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Falcon (Anthony Mackie),Guardians of Galaxy, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Iron-Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson),Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Helmsworth), Wong , Winter Solider, War Machine and Vision. This cast is surely a star studded crew with established origin stories.
The main concern for the movie is that Marvel movie strengths lie in their skill to portray character establishment uniformly and without disappointing the respective fans of each superhero. In movies like Infinity War which consists of probably 20+ superheroes, the role of each character would be minimal. For example, if Guardians of Galaxy would be joining with the Avengers, they bring a sarcastic and innovative touch to the movies. But in the case of Doctor Strange who was so perfect as a stand-alone role in the film would be difficult to blend with the Avengers.Another concern is Marvel Universe villains lack of depth till this point. Maybe they would try to rectify those problems in the upcoming movies.
Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theatres on May 2017, Spider- Man: Homecoming on July 2017, Thor: Ragnarok on November 2017, Black Panther on February 2018 and Infinity War Part 1on May 2018.
The final verdict is that DCEU's Justice League is a better bet than MCU's Infinity War. Its because of the large number of fans who are expecting this movie and the less influence of Infinity War comics. The death of the heroes may be avoided in the movies but by 2018, the movie enthusiasts will probably lose interest in Marvel movies or may get immense support from the diehard fans.
